Careers

HSBC in France is part of one of the world’s largest financial services organisations. Whether you are an experienced professional, looking for your first job or are interested in one of our student and graduate programmes, we provide many ways for you to develop your skills and achieve your career ambitions in a diverse and inclusive environment.

We offer opportunities across our organisation to build a fulfilling career and work with colleagues and customers around the world.

We have roles available in areas including retail and private banking, wealth management, asset management, insurance, commercial banking, trade finance, global payments solutions, investment banking and capital markets. In addition we offer roles in operational and support functions such as finance, audit, compliance, legal, human resources, IT and communications.

We look for people who are ambitious and want to develop their career and contribute to HSBC’s long-term, sustainable growth. We want employees who can help us achieve our strategy, balance social, environmental and economic considerations and manage risk accordingly.

To ensure we achieve this growth in the right way, we place great emphasis on our values. We are committed to applying the highest standards throughout the bank, everywhere we do business.

Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of our business. Joining HSBC will give you the opportunity to work in a collegiate and supportive environment in which we seek to develop and promote you based on merit. We are a signatory of the Charte de la Diversité en Entreprise (a charter for diversity in business).

In terms of gender diversity, in 2022 the professional equality index for men and women was measured at 87 points out of 100 for HSBC Continental Europe, at 87 points out of 100 for HSBC Global Asset Management, 99 points out of 100 for HSBC Assurances Vie and 92 points out of 100 for HSBC Global Services (UK) Ltd . We have an average score of 87 points out of 100, all legal entities combined since the first publication of this index in 2018 for the entities with more than 250 employees and in 2019 for the smaller entities. We have achieved these results due to a salary equality voluntarism policy which we have been committed to for nearly 20 years. As an example, over EUR 10 million have been specifically spent on gender equality measures since 2004.

With regards to representation of women among top managers and management body the 2022 percentages in HSBC Continental Europe are respectively 21.3% and 42.7% with a target, set by loi Rixain, of 30% as at 1st March 2026 and 40% as at 1st March 2029.
