In addition we offer roles in operational and support functions such as finance, audit, compliance, legal, human resources, IT and communications.
We look for people who are ambitious and want to develop their career and contribute to HSBC’s long-term, sustainable growth. We want employees who can help us achieve our strategy, balance social, environmental and economic considerations and manage risk accordingly.
To ensure we achieve this growth in the right way, we place great emphasis on our values. We are committed to applying the highest standards throughout the bank, everywhere we do business.
Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of our business. Joining HSBC will give you the opportunity to work in a collegiate and supportive environment in which we seek to develop and promote you based on merit. We are a signatory of the Charte de la Diversité en Entreprise (a charter for diversity in business).
In terms of gender diversity, in 2020 the professional equality index for men and women was measured at 87 points out of 100 for HSBC Continental Europe, at 85 points out of 100 for HSBC Global Asset Management, 96 points out of 100 for HSBC Assurances Vie and 93 points out of 100 for HSBC Global Services (UK) Ltd . We have an average score of 87 points out of 100, all legal entities combined since the first publication of this index in 2018 for the entities with more than 250 employees and in 2019 for the smaller entities. We have achieved these results due to a salary equality voluntarism policy which we have been committed to for nearly 15 years. As an example, over EUR 9 million have been specifically spent on gender equality measures since 2004.
